We’ve Launched the 2018 Summit Program!

Today the Carbon Market is excited to announce the release of the 2018 Australasian Emissions Reduction Summit Program! This year’s program is packed full of national and international experts from business and government, whose knowledge and understanding will shape the Summit experience, and enable you to come away with the tools you need to effect change in your own environment.

The 2018 Program has been built around six key themes, that will be crucial for Australia to build on as it undergoes the low-carbon transition. These include:

  • Corporate Climate Leadership
  • The Role of Finance & Technology in the Transition
  • Scaling Up Australia’s Carbon Farming Industry
  • Optimising Australia’s Position in International Carbon Markets
  • Sub-National Action on Climate Change
  • The Domestic Climate Policy Evolution

Summit attendees will hear from business and government leaders, as well as those responsible for climate change policy at home and abroad, and will get an understanding of how different organisations are working towards a more successful and resilient economy, environment and society.

The Summit is really about knowledge sharing and commercial interaction, and we’re excited to already confirm that you will be able to hear from and engage with senior representatives from leading Australian and international organisations including ANZ Bank, Qantas, Telstra, Macquarie Group, South32, International Energy Agency, Clean Energy Finance Corporation, CSIRO, AND Bloomberg New Energy Finance.

Additionally there will be a strong government and policy presence with ministerial and senior leadership from the Department of Environment & Energy, Clean Energy Regulator, the Australian Government’s Carbon Neutral Program, as well as leaders from the Labor, Greens and National parties. We will be profiling thought leadership from sub-national actors, including Victorian and Queensland State Governments on stage, as well as working with Sustainability Victoria to support and celebrate the role of women in climate change, at the Summit’s annual Women in Climate Breakfast on the morning of Tuesday 1st May (Day 1).

Outside of the official program of plenary sessions and workshops, we are pleased to announce the expansion of our 2018 Side Events Program, to include more opportunities for networking and commercial interaction – through our aforementioned Women in Climate Breakfast, the Great Debate, Sundowner Networking Drinks, the 2018 Gala Dinner, and the Summit’s Official After Party sponsored by Corporate Carbon. Of course there are are many breaks throughout the day for you to connect with you peers, share knowledge and do business.

All in all, the 5th Australasian Emissions Reduction Summit is shaping up to be (yet again) the premier climate change and business event for 2018. Don’t miss out – make sure you reserve your place today.
